Stone Showcase: After Pictures, Joyce Morman

Well, here is a “love note” and the “after pictures” of a job we did earlier this summer. It took some time for the finishing touches, as most decorating projects are a work in progress for a period of time. In May I posted the before pictures and the shopping process. If you missed those posts, you can click here to check them out: the before pictures and the shopping process.

As I mentioned before, Dee McCarty from Dee McCarty Designs was instrumental in assisting Joyce with her interior decorating choices such as counter top color, wall paint, wall paper, new stove, new sink, faucet and back splash to all coordinate with her already existing French Country curtains. Below you will see the dining area that connects with the kitchen where the French Country curtains are a focal point in the room.

From Joyce Morman of Lancaster:

“I went with Lesher Natural Stone, Quartz, & Tile for several reasons. I was impressed with Kurt’s attention to detail. I also liked the fact that their quote included not only the installation of the granite, but also the plumbing hook up.
Later I was also impressed with all their personnel. I almost felt like they were family. They were not only efficient, but friendly and helpful. I felt as though I went from a $3,000 kitchen to a $20,000 kitchen. I’m very happy with my new granite counters.”

Below you see the granite tiered to the stove. This finishing touch was done to make things work right with the new stove design. We pride ourselves in paying attention to details. Custom made could be our middle name…

Below you are seeing what is in the same room as the newly finished kitchen. The colbalt blue plates and the French Country curtains were the foundations of the project in terms of design, colors, and textures. Everything needed to coordinate and work with those 2 items.

French Country curtains are seen below.

Notice how the decorations bring everything together while at the same time make some things pop. The yellow lemons go pop while the cobalt blues tend to blend nicely with the counter tops.

Dee gave Joyce so many wonderful ideas, one of which is the “back splash” combination. Below you’ll see the 4 inch back splash made in the verde butterfly granite and above that is not paint but a vinyl polka-dot wallpaper. The colors pick up the cabinet and wall paint colors perfectly, bringing everything together.
