Stone Showcase: Decisions to Make….

Last week we showed you Joyce Morman’s French Country style kitchen before any renovations were made. Missed it? Go here.
Joyce Morman from Lancaster County came into Lesher Natural Stone, Quartz, & Tile with a sample piece of granite that her interior designer, Dee McCarty, recommended. Here’s what Dee said:

Joyce has a wonderful flair for decorating her very beautiful home. As her interior designer, it was my goal to assist her in selecting and integrating her kitchen colors and granite for the counter top and backsplash. We wanted to blend her accessories and draperies, flooring and appliances to the perfect piece of granite The walls are painted in soft gold and the cabinets are a light shade of maple. Having a darker base, I felt that the Verde Green would POP in her kitchen, while adding depth and interest.
Joyce was able to find the perfect piece which was not too busy and consistent in pattern. We did not want the granite to conflict with her beautiful draperies which have a stripe pattern with floral integrated in the striping.
It is so exciting to find the perfect piece of granite that will add to the warmth and beauty of Joyce’s French Country kitchen!!!

Here are some of the pictures as Joyce and her girlfriend were shopping at our facility and trying to make the “big choices”.

The debate continued…

Joyce wanted a Verde Butterfly that didn’t have so many specs or spots of light color. She was afraid it would conflict with her french country curtains. So she ended up taking a road trip to see some of our recommended suppliers who provide us with Verde Butterfly. After visiting 4 suppliers in 2 different states, Joyce ended up with the perfect Verde Butterfly to coordinate with her project.

After Joyce did find the perfect Verde Butterfly she then needed to make her decision on what to do about the back splash. She was leaning toward the 4 inch granite back splash in the Verde Butterfly but wanted to consider a tile that would also work. She brought in her interior designer Dee McCarty from Dee McCarty Designs to help her ponder the choices.

Here’s the tile she was considering along with her curtains.

Dee suggested looking at everything together. The new paint color will be “compatible cream” from Sherwin Williams which will add warmth to her walls according to Dee.

After Joyce picked out her slab from one of our suppliers it was tagged and shipped to us. Of course she came in with Dee to see it and decide on the back splash. She thinks she is going to go with the 4 inch granite back splash because she has some decorations that will pop when placed in front of it.

In a couple of weeks we’ll see the choices all installed! Stay tuned….
