Stone Showcase: Dan and Kim (Jones) McCall’s Finished Kitchen

We’ve been waiting for everything to be finished since we installed the countertops back in January in order to show the after pictures of Dan and Kim(Jones) McCall’s kitchen. Sometimes it may be awhile until all the finishing touches in a kitchen are complete. But as the saying goes: Good things are worth waiting for…. Don’t remember the previous post? You may want to start here first.

Here’s a close up shot of Dan and Kim’s granite called River Bordeaux.  It’s full of flow and movement and looks like a unique piece of artwork in their new kitchen.

The main section of the McCall kitchen is below. Do you remember the “T island” in their plans and the amazing way we hovered the cut slabs one on top of the other to match up the movement and flow of the granite? If not, you may want to digress here to see it.

To the right of the sink and window are the refrigerator and ovens with appliance garages in between.

Nice view! And I just love this fork….

The top of the T is where the stove top sits right across from the sink.

While standing at the stove, Kim and Dan can see the open fire place…..

Check out the flowing granite grains…… You can’t see where the T crosses, can you? We matched up the flow.

Kim and Dan picked out a large single bowl stainless steel made by Kohler which is trending right now as opposed to double bowl sinks. The shape however is quite unique.

Here you see stacked subway tile as opposed to staggered tiles with a glossy finish made by Daltile. It is specifically the Urban Metal collection with a color called gun metal.

Close up….notice in this case we used a grout to match the tile. Many times you’ll see a cream to white colored grout. I think their choice was a good one.

This butler pantry is located on the other side of stove and refrigerator wall shown in picture number 3.

Ahhhhh…..good things sometimes take time, but are well worth the wait, wouldn’t you say?
