Fun Fact Friday: Flash Back

This was my first post back in February that our new viewers may have missed. What does this have to do with Fun Fact Friday? I think the predicted color trend is coming true:

Curious about color trends for 2012, I went to the world renowned authority on color and a popular source, Pantone. They announced the color of the year for 2012 fashion and home. I thought this would be a great place to start the new company blog and see where we end up with actual color use by the end of 2012. Whether you admire this color or not, I find it interesting to be aware of the trends and open our minds to the possibilities. So let’s step “out of the box” and see. In regards to the use of Tangerine Tango for the home, Pantone said,

Energize interior spaces with Tangerine Tango patterned home accessories. Pillows, bedspreads and tabletop accessories in this high-impact hue add spice to any room. Or incorporate Tangerine Tango appliances and personal electronics for an unexpected pop of color. Looking for an inexpensive way to perk up your home? Paint a wall in Tangerine Tango for a dynamic burst of energy in the kitchen, entryway or hallway.

So I found a couple of ideas to consider that have the “Tangerine Tango” theme used in bathrooms which also happen to feature natural stone or tile. You’ll see the amount of Tangerine Tango can vary from being the rooms dominant color to the accent color.

So maybe you like the color prediction of the year and want it to be all encompassing in your next project or maybe just the pop of color is what you’re after. Hopefully this gives you a sample of the possibilities.
