What’s Cooking? Sauces for the Summer Rolls!

Last week I posted a step by step recipe with pictures regarding how to make summer rolls. If you missed it click here. Today I’m sharing a recipe for the sauce to dip your summer rolls into. I must admit I’m not one to measure, so the ingredients are listed but the amounts of each may need some adjusting.

Spicy Sauce:
1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce
1/4 cup minced onion
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
Mix and heat the above ingredients. Then add the chili sauce below to your desired “spicy” taste.
3 teaspoons Chili Garlic Sauce

Spicy Peanut Sauce:
small bunch of cilantro leaves chopped
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce(we use Braggs Liquid Aminos, a natural soy sauce)
1 tablespoon raw honey(or use regular if you don’t have raw)
3 cloves garlic minced or crushed
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
To make it spicy, add some Chili Garlic Sauce a little at a time.

Here are some pictures of the products we use:

We ran out of the “Hoisin Sauce” so here’s a picture below that I found on line. Any brand should do the trick.
